The design of the M128 automatic measurement station aims to measure in various factory environments. It can perform size, geometry, and weight measurements, in addition to the following additional functions: such as selecting and marking all connecting rods for inspection.
M128 can inspect the entire production line.
It includes:
- conveyor
Parallel quadrilateral conveyor (lifting and moving principle) can be used to continuously move the connecting rod to various machine tool stations. On the machine tool, the lateral feed insertion unit can measure the correct orientation of the connecting rod.
- Dimensional measurement station
Measurement stations typically include two plug gauges: one forConnecting rod big end holeDetection, while another one is used for connecting rodspin holetesting. Each of these measurement stations is equipped with 8 measurement units located in two different sections, plus a series of units located on the crank and pin hole planes.
Using a conveyor to move the connecting rod closer to the measuring parts is a typical measurement method required for these parts.

- Weighing station
The design of the weighing station aims to detect and measure the weight of the connecting rod big end hole along the pin hole

- Select device
It is composed of a series of inclined chutes.
Each chute is related to the type of part or reason for abandonment (freely programmable) and the slider. The motorized chute moves the connecting rod along the discharge chute.

- Self calibrating equipment
M128 has been equipped with a self calibration device for electronic zeroing in size measurement. It includes an area for placing zero standard parts in a storage location.
The way customers can customize the calibration function is shown in the following example:
