It is a type of sliding bearing mainly used for low concentricity requirements, high working surface pressure, and slow swinging and rotating motion, with a certain axial limit capability.
Characteristics of Joint Bearings
1) Joint bearings consist of an inner ring with an outer spherical surface and an outer ring with an inner spherical surface, without rolling elements or retainers. Due to the relative sliding between the inner and outer spherical surfaces, their internal friction coefficient is much higher than that of rolling bearings. Generally used in mechanisms that swing at lower speeds or perform tilting movements (centering movements) within a certain angle range.
2) It can withstand combined loads mainly consisting of large radial loads, but its allowable working speed is generally very low.
3) Has a certain axial limit capability, allowing for significant relative skewness between the curve of the shaft and the housing hole.
