The MODBUS/RTU to Ethernet MODBUS/TCP gateway is mainly used in DCS systems with MODBUS/TCP as the backbone network, or in control systems with MODBUS/PLC; If it is necessary to connect some MODBUS devices (such as motor protector MCC, power meter PCC, frequency converter, I/O, etc.) to the Ethernet system, this product is the best choice

● Independent channel 2-port MODBUS/485/RTU master station, without the need for RS485 physical layer expansion devices (repeaters or HUBs), can directly connect 62 MODBUS/RTU slave station devices.
Different from transparent transmission mode, this gateway is a memory sharing gateway with the advantages of fast data refresh speed and simple client programming. By configuring the EMGWConfi software, the mapping relationship between each MODBUS/RTU and the MODBUS/TCP storage area (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 3, Zone 4) can be configured and downloaded. The gateway automatically forms MODBUS/RTU messages and sends them in a timed loop. The Ethernet side client only needs to read/write the gateway storage area through MODBUS/TCP to monitor MODBUS/RTU. As shown in the following figure:

Monitoring function: Use status control words to monitor and control the current online/offline status of the slave station, accumulate and clear error markers.

Standard industrial Ethernet interface: RJ45, 10/100M adaptive, MODBUS/TCP server, can connect up to 6 clients at the same time, easy to debug, monitor, download and configure.
Wide voltage power supply 24VDC ± 25%, 35mm rail clamp, providing intuitive and effective indicator light function.

MODBUS gateway configuration software: EMGWConfi

Due to the memory sharing principle used in this product, the configuration software EMGWConfi is required to configure the mapping relationship between MODBUS/RTU and MODBUS/TCP storage areas (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 3, Zone 4). At the same time, necessary information such as baud rate, checksum, stop bit, slave station address, and IP address and port number on the network port side should be configured to enable the master station to accurately, quickly, efficiently, and cyclically send messages to the slave stations.
