1、 Overview
The JSZ type acoustic rain gauge is a high-precision rainfall measurement sensor independently developed by Xuzhou Weisi Water Science and Technology Co., Ltd. based on the principle of acoustic distance measurement. It can measure rainfall in nature and convert it into digital signals through switches or serial ports to meet the needs of information transmission, processing, recording, and display. It is mainly used for hydrological, water conservancy, meteorological, scientific research and other departments to observe rainfall.
2、 Structure and characteristics (see schematic diagram)

This product consists of a rain receiving port, a rain collector, a rainwater transmission pipe, a measuring bucket, an acoustic measurement circuit, a drainage circuit, a rain sensor, and a stainless steel outer tube. When there is external rainfall, the rainwater smoothly reaches the measuring rain bucket through the rain collection port, rain collector, and transmission pipe. The sound wave calculates the rainfall by measuring the changes in the water level inside the rain bucket, which has the advantages of stable data and high measurement accuracy.
1. High precision: Using non-contact measurement with sound waves, the measurement resolution is 0.1mm within the rain intensity range of 0.01-4mm/min.
2. Intelligence: When the rainfall reaches 10mm, automatic drainage treatment is carried out, and the rainwater that is falling during drainage is automatically intercepted in the rain funnel. After the drainage is completed, it is placed in the measuring bucket without loss, ensuring measurement accuracy.
3. Lightning protection: The external interface of the instrument has a lightning protection circuit.
4. Anti clogging: The rainwater receiving port and bottom drainage port of the rain bucket are equipped with filter screens to prevent foreign objects from falling into the rainwater channel and entering the measuring bucket.
5. All structural components are made of stainless steel, which is rust proof, anti-corrosion, and anti-aging.
6. The measurement software inside the instrument has self diagnostic function, reducing the workload of on-site maintenance.
3、 Main technical indicators

9. Working power supply: DC 12V. The average working current is 10mA, and the maximum working current is 1A (when draining).
