The system is manufactured according to ASTM D 5796 and is a thickness measurement system for single-layer and multi-layer coatings on metal coils. This system uses its own precision drilling device to drill micro holes on the sample, and the micro optical system magnifies the micro holes to 400 times. The thickness of each coating is accurately measured in one go through software, completely unaffected by the chemical properties of the coating. It is currently the most accurate multi-layer thickness measurement system among all thickness measurement systems. It can accurately and conveniently measure the dry film thickness.

The precision punching device forms a round micro hole with a depth reaching the substrate on the surface of the sample at once
As shown in Figure 1, the interlayer structure from the substrate to the inner and outer layers, processed by an optical microscopy system and software, is displayed through micropores
The microscopic optical system can amplify micropores with high fidelity up to 400 times
The thickness of each coating layer is determined by digital distance measurement in 4 or 8 coordinate directions
As shown in Figure 2, a and b respectively represent the thickness of two coatings
