- This noise dosimeter, also known as a 'personnel noise exposure meter', is used to evaluate the cumulative noise exposure received by on-site workers in high noise working environments, in order to prevent permanent damage to employees' abilities caused by 'auditory trauma' or 'noise related ability loss'. It is used to assess the degree of harm to personnel's hearing caused by noise environments, in order to determine whether to implement factory noise prevention measures or employee hearing protection plans
