The OSLO crystallizer is widely used in the crystallization of large particle crystals in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. The equipment can operate continuously, has high production capacity, low labor intensity, and produces crystals with advantages such as large volume and uniform particle size. OSLO crystallizers are divided into two categories: evaporative OSLO crystallizers and cooled OSLO crystallizers. The OSLO evaporative crystallizer is heated by an external heater to enter the vacuum flash chamber for supersaturation of the circulating material liquid, and then enters the suspended bed through a vertical pipeline to allow the crystal to grow. Due to the special structure of the OSLO crystallizer, larger particles first come into contact with the supersaturated solution for preferential growth, followed by smaller volume solutions; The OSLO cooling crystallizer is cooled by an external cooler to supersaturate the saturated liquid, and then enters the suspended bed through a vertical pipeline to allow the crystals to grow. Due to the special structure of the OSLO crystallizer, larger particles first come into contact with the supersaturated solution and grow preferentially.


Oslo cooling crystallizer belongs to the clear or semi clear liquid external circulation type crystallizer. The clear liquid in the straight section of the crystallizer is pumped into the external cooler by the cooling crystallization circulation pump to exchange heat with the liquid ammonia wall, thereby removing the crystallization heat and sensible heat generated by the cooling of the feed. After exiting the external cooler, the circulating liquid enters the central downcomer of the Oslo crystallizer. The clear liquid enters the bottom of the Oslo crystallizer along the central downcomer, and then rises through the crystallization bed from the bottom. After eliminating supersaturation in the crystallization bed, it continues to move upward to the upper straight section, and then enters the next cycle again through the cooling crystallization circulation pump. Crystals are fluidized and suspended in the circulating liquid to form a crystalline bed, and the product suspension is taken out from the lower straight section of the crystallizer. The external cooler of this crystallizer is equipped with a cleaning system, which can effectively ensure the normal operation of the external cooler for a long time.

The main feature of Oslo cooling crystallizer is that the areas where supersaturation occurs and the areas where crystal growth occurs are distributed at two points in the crystallizer. The crystals are fluidized and suspended in the circulating mother liquor flow, providing a good condition for crystal growth. On the basis of continuous operation, it can grow into large and uniform crystals.
