Do we need to buy a server for the remote meter reading system?

If the data volume is not particularly large and the management conditions are not met, you can choose not to purchase it and directly use the Alibaba Cloud cloud cloud platform server provided by our company. Compared to purchasing servers personally, it saves a lot of costs, and there is also a dedicated person responsible for online data maintenance.
How to upload data to the server? Do you need data usage fees?
The electricity meter data is uploaded to the Alibaba Cloud server through the concentrator, and the communication method to be used is determined according to the actual situation. If Ethernet is used, the existing network resources can be used. If using 4G module mode, the data data data fee package only costs a few tens of yuan per year.
4. I have very few electricity meters installed in a large factory area, so I don't want data to be connected to the internet. Can I use local software? Do you still need data usage fees?
No need, for situations where the number of electricity meters is small, the installation is scattered, and the distance is not far (within a line of sight of 2Km), we can use a meter reading solution that matches the gateway with a built-in wireless module meter or wireless collector. The software only needs to be installed on the meter reading computer. As long as the meter reading machine is turned on, it will cycle through the meter reading without the need for internet or data usage.
How do we collect electricity bills? If mobile payment is used, who will the tenant pay directly to?
