This method uses the Abusen method to recover asphalt from asphalt mixtures. Extract asphalt pavement or asphalt mixture with a solution, then remove the solvent from the extraction solution without changing the properties of the asphalt in the mixture during the operation.
The asphalt recovered from asphalt pavement or asphalt mixture according to this method can be used to evaluate the aging degree of asphalt in petroleum asphalt mixture, analyze the causes of asphalt pavement damage, and design the mix proportion of recycled asphalt mixture. Measure various properties and chemical components of recycled asphalt as needed. This method is not applicable to coal tar mixtures.
Instruments and materials
Distillation device: composed of the following parts:
Flask: 500mL, made of heat-resistant glass, ground mouth, flat bottom.
Ventilation tube: The rubber tube should be at least 180mm long, with an outer diameter of 6mm and an end ball outer diameter of 10mm. It should have six staggered edge holes with a diameter of approximately 1.5mm
Curved glass conduit: inner diameter 10mm.
Cork stopper: It has good sealing properties with the bottleneck.
Condenser tube: straight, with a water jacket length of at least 200mm.
Temperature gauge: 0 ℃~300 ℃, with a division of 1 ℃, mercury bulb length of 6mm.
Cone shaped bottle: 500mL.
CO2 gas and gas storage cylinders.
Gas flowmeter: capable of measuring a capacity of over 2000mL/min.
Heating sleeve.
High speed centrifugal separator: capable of installing more than 4 centrifugal tubes, with a centrifugal force not less than 770 times the acceleration of gravity (770G).
Centrifugal tube: with a capacity of 250mL or more.
Pressure reducing filter.
Electric thermal insulation sleeve (size matching 500mL distillation flask), can also be used in oil bath or sand bath, and has a temperature control device.
Solvent: trichloroethylene, industrial use.
Other: glass wool cover, zeolite, glass capillary tube.
