Performance Characteristics
The starch washing cyclone unit is composed of multiple small diameter liquid flow tubes, which are widely used in the starch industry and similar industries. Generally, it adopts 7-15 stages. Starch milk enters from a certain stage, passes through each stage in sequence, and flows out from the bottom of the next stage. The washing water enters from the next stage pump and flows back to the bimonthly journal in sequence until it reaches the previous stage, and is discharged through stage overflow. The purpose of this device is to further remove the impurities in the starch after separating gluten
Soluble impurities, mainly proteins. Insoluble proteins are a part of gluten, while soluble impurities include soluble proteins and inorganic salts.
There is a feed pump in front of each stage of the cyclone, which is connected to the bottom of the previous stage and the overflow of the subsequent stage, and a blue transition device is installed before the pump inlet. The pressure between the inlet and overflow should be maintained between 4.2-6.3kg/cm2, and a pump pressure of 6-8 kg/cm2 is recommended. The types of cyclones include separation type, washing type, clarification type, and concentration type.
The starch washing cyclone unit is composed of multiple stages of cyclones combined in a certain way, with each stage of cyclones consisting of multiple small-diameter liquid cyclone tubes connected in parallel. Each stage of the cyclone needs to be equipped with different numbers of cyclone tubes and a feeding pump according to its different process functions in the cyclone unit. The pipeline is equipped with pressure gauges and other instruments according to the process requirements, and is integrated with the cyclone machine. The entire unit is independent in the process, with a compact structure and easy installation.
working principle
A cyclone separator is a hydraulic separation device that utilizes the principle of significantly increasing inertial force. The material to be separated is forced to enter the cylindrical part of a small-diameter cyclone tube (with a diameter of 10mm or 15mm) along the tangent direction of the feed pipe under the pressure of the feed pump. It rotates at high speed along the circular track, generating centrifugal force and throwing suspended solid particles in the liquid towards the outer wall, causing them to move downward in a spiral shape along the cone wall until they pass through the end of the cone and are discharged. The fine particles and lighter specific gravity parts of the material are discharged from the upper overflow.
Cyclones are generally capable of separating substances with particle sizes ranging from 5 to 5000 micrometers. To separate substances with small particle sizes, it is necessary to use small-diameter cyclone tubes. However, the ability of a single cyclone tube to process materials is limited, and multiple small cyclone tubes need to be installed in parallel in a single chassis. RP cyclones, each equipped with a certain number of swirl tubes with a diameter of 10mm or 15mm. It is paired with a starch centrifuge and used separately, suitable for an annual output of 10000

Equipment purpose
The starch washing cyclone unit technology is a good liquid-liquid and solid-liquid separation technology introduced by our company from abroad. With its unique structure and different combination forms, it can independently complete the separation, washing, clarification, concentration, and screening unit operation tasks in industries such as food, medicine, fermentation, starch, etc. Especially suitable for manufacturers who originally produced starch with a production capacity of tens of thousands of tons, this product is selected for technological transformation and expansion, with low investment and quick results. Our company currently has a starch washing cyclone unit with a production capacity of 10000 tons to 120000 tons per year, which is debugged by experts and has a very unique use in the starch industry. It completely simplifies the traditional separation and refining process or the separation and cyclone concentration refining process in the past, allowing the high protein content initial starch milk after fiber washing to be separated from gluten, concentrated in the middle, and refined, washed, and concentrated in the cyclone unit at once, meeting the requirements for refined starch milk entering the horizontal scraper centrifuge.
