Working Principle:
This instrument uses ultraviolet fluorescence method. The basic working principle is as follows: the zinc lamp emits ultraviolet light, which is filtered by a monochromatic filter into monochromatic light with a wavelength of 214nm and focused onto the SO2 reaction chamber. The SO2 in the sample gas absorbs the ultraviolet light, causing energy level transitions. SO2 changes from the ground state to the excited state, which is unstable and instantly emits fluorescence with a central wavelength of 330nm. The strength of the fluorescence is proportional to the concentration of SO2, and the light signal is converted into an electrical signal through a photomultiplier tube to measure the concentration of SO2. In order to eliminate measurement errors caused by fluctuations in the optical path, two monitoring channels are used in the optical path. One channel measures the fluorescence intensity excited by the sample gas optical path, while the other channel measures the reference optical path to monitor changes in the zinc lamp light source and automatically compensate for changes in the light source.
