Biodiesel is an environmentally friendly biofuel made from unprocessed or used vegetable oils and animal fats through different chemical reactions. This biofuel can be used like diesel. The common preparation methods for biodiesel are esterification and ester exchange. The esterification method involves the reaction of fatty acids with alcohols (usually methanol) in the presence of acidic catalysts to produce fatty acid methyl esters. The ester exchange method involves the reaction of triglycerides, which are the main components of vegetable oils and fats, with alcohols (usually methanol) in the presence of alkaline catalysts to produce fatty acid methyl esters. The physical and chemical properties of fatty acid methyl esters are very similar to, or even better than, diesel.

The use of biodiesel can effectively reduce the production of pollutants such as sulfides, particulate pollutants, black smoke, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, etc., thereby reducing the degree of environmental pollution. Due to the much lower carbon dioxide emissions during the combustion of biodiesel compared to fossil fuels, it can be considered a low-carbon renewable energy source.
In order to avoid the impact of industrial production on the natural environment in the current industrial development environment, Henan Huatai Machinery has established its own environmentally friendly equipment research and development company - Henan Huatai Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. - in the production of environmental protection equipment. It has its own technology patent certificates in the fields of environmentally friendly biodiesel production equipment and sewage and exhaust gas treatment equipment, and has contributed its modest efforts to promoting China's environmental development. Our company undertakes biodiesel projects with 50TPD, 100TPD, 150TPD, and 300TPD, including engineering design, equipment manufacturing, technical services, product research and development, etc.
Our company uses processes such as esterification, ester exchange reaction, and distillation purification to produce biodiesel.
