1、 Introduction:
Polyacrylamide Classification Polyacrylamide Product Introduction: Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a water-soluble polymer that is insoluble in most organic solvents. It has good flocculation properties and can reduce the frictional resistance between liquids. According to its ionic properties, it can be divided into four types: non-ionic, anionic, cationic, and amphoteric. (Note: Polyacrylamide is different from acrylamide)
2、 Industry applications:
Polyacrylamide is selected for air flotation
Firstly, let's understand which industries are commonly used in the air flotation industry. Air flotation mainly uses gas to oxidize wastewater, while air flotation is mostly used for deep treatment of secondary biological treatment. Currently, the most common industry is for supplementary treatment of oily wastewater after oil separation. The air flotation method can be effectively used for the concentration of activated sludge; Removal of suspended impurities in wastewater. The use of anionic polyacrylamide for air flotation has a better effect, especially for partial reflux dissolved air flotation, which combines the process advantages of full reflux and full dissolved air flotation. Compared with cloth air flotation, it has the characteristics of large sewage treatment capacity and high treatment effect; Compared with electrolytic air flotation method, it has the advantages of saving electricity and lower operating costs, which is suitable for the requirements of modern enterprises for energy conservation, environmental protection, consumption reduction, and efficiency improvement.
3、 Analysis of process treatment effect:
The treatment effects of each unit are shown in Table 1. After treatment by each unit, the water quality of the sewage has been significantly improved. The main pollutant BOD5 is 30mg/L CODCr = 150mg/ L、 NH3-N = 25mg/ L、 AOX = 500mg/ L。 All indicators fully comply with the second level standards of the national emission standards (GB8978-1996). The removal efficiency of ABR and SBR tanks is the most significant, with regards to the removal of CODCr and BOD5, ABR is 50%, SBR is 91% and 86 7%. The removal of AOX by the two tanks is also ideal, reflecting the applicability of the ABR-SBR combined process to the company's pharmaceutical wastewater.
4、 Usage characteristics:
1. Flocculation: PAM can cause suspended matter to undergo electrostatic neutralization, bridging adsorption, and flocculation.
2. Adhesive properties: capable of exerting adhesive effects through mechanical, physical, and chemical means.
3. Resistance reduction: PAM can effectively reduce the frictional resistance of fluids, and adding a small amount of PAM to water can reduce resistance by 50-80%.
4. Thickening: PAM has a thickening effect under both neutral and acidic conditions, and is prone to hydrolysis when the pH value is above 10. When it forms a semi mesh structure, thickening will be more pronounced.
